A63. We’re currently working to solve the inconvenience in the extended wards, so we believe it’ll be after this. This is because we think we first need to create a transfer system for players who wish to move to an Ishgard area.

I wonder what they mean by "inconvenience" cause I think its pretty inconvenient to walk into a ward, see it generally empty of players yet still cant buy a house...

They said new wards Soon™ after 3.0, so it's a waiting game now. I'm hanging out in an abandoned and nearly empty guild house planning my future decoration. There's pretty much 5 items in the whole house and I haven't ran into anyone because I'm pretty sure none of them play anymore so it makes planning easy, how nice of them.

- So first, they would rather focus on making it easier to travel to new wards.
- Second, they want to increase the furniture count in houses.
- Finally, they will look at implementing Ishgard housing areas.

Hope they limit housing per account when they add housing, it isn't as simple as walking up to the sign and clicking buy but I'm aware of a few people who own many houses (will use alts or quickly level a satellite FC). Even then there is little you can do to block some of the methods of multiple house ownership.

Or... Just truely instance the sucker. lol

Im on Gilg, not a single open plot. In fact, one free company decided to purchase 4 plots of land. This housing system isnt broken at all. /sarcasm

I'm trying to save up 4 million for my own small plot to call my own, but right now if things turn out predictable as usual it will simply become scalpers paradise and no one outside of the 5% super rich are going to own anything on Balmung. I'd be satisfied with just a room, honestly, but they tied that to free companies and if you get booted you lose your investment in the room, which is no small sum at 300k gil. Still more affordable than the freaking 25+ million gil people want to simply relinquish a plot.

They really should implement an auto-eviction for people that don't log in for at least 6 months minimum. 6 months seems a reasonable time frame for those busy with things or for those taking a break. Or at the very least make FC chambers abit cheaper.

Sadly, SE made it clear that wont happen.

The very least they can do is to stop making it so that useful things such as Thavnairian Onions, Chocobo dyes, minions, etc can be grown in the garden. As I said before, houses aren't for vanity since you can easily make back your money and then some through little effort via gardening. This needs to stop.

Youre on one of the most populated servers, so yeah, likely not getting a house unless you got it day 1.

Most others servers have a good amount of Smalls left still

Really priority over moving houses instead of making house available? The housing team needs to visit the 1.0 team. Both are producing a similar quality product. Serviceable but extremely lacking.

So it sounds like availability is not a concern for them... That makes me sad. sure opening up ishgard will draw people there but there still so many problems with they way its done, it will be another two hour window for housing, and thats being generous...

Still think that without unlimited plots you cant allow players to have multiple plots or sit on them for the life of the account.

The easiest and best solution is to create instanced personal housing you earn through the 4.0 storyline (cause it will take that long to implement.)
