Horrible Lag and and Skipping

Over the last week, my gameplay has gone from playable to barely playable. Before the Heavensward release, my game played very smoothly and I couldn't have been happier. But now when Im out questing or in town or at my house, every 5 seconds, I get spurts of lags and skipping. One second the game seems smooth and a second later my character is skipping and lagging all over the place. It makes it hard to do anything. I can't even quest anymore because I keep dying cuz the lag messes me up.

I used to be at 50-60 FPS, now I'm at 6-12 FPS and its been that way for a week. I thought it was my computer but none of my other games lag at all. Just this one. The only things I'm able to do right now are login and check on my retainer and FC airship.

Is anything going to be done? Or does anyone have any tips to fix this?

It seems to be server congestion in most cases. I did a few duty runs today and they were pretty stuttery with a bit of runnderbanding jank. Was strange, certainly not my PC, so I'm assuming the servers are just getting hammered a bit.

I dont' have any problems at first but as soon as i party with my one friend the lag becomes horrible. As soon as we disband its fine. Only recently became a issue after alexander update.

There is a lot of lag, unbearably so. Even by standing still in Lavender Beds, casting spells, I get interrupted for no reason whatsoever. (I cast, to test my lag) and my casting is delayed a lot. It takes me seconds to see how much I heal for, and my spells being ready again. A few seconds ago, I tried to get on and I was met with the error of 2002. Things were getting better for my game play, but when Heavensward came, things got a little bad. And after Alexander patch, I've gotten an increase of lag. Even in the Vault, some of my LS and myself gets really bad lag. I understand the congestion, but their is that option to increase data capacity. Which could help things run smoother.

Ive been getting huge amount of lag, Used to run 40+ fps only dipping to about 20 only when its a huuuge amount of ppl and most are being tards casting spells for no reason. And I don't mean to insult anyone. But since the last update there was a huge problem where movement speed was as slow as the walk speed and sprint it just barely above that. But now we got this laaag problem and it doesn't seem its client side, it not only affects normal game stuff but causes loading screens to jam up for no reason.

This can easily be solved by turning off other's effects. That part is not hard to do. And no offense taken. But, I only cast to test my lag. And I try to do that away from others, out of respect and consideration.

Also want to report that teleporting in between places, are either 1) Extremely slow loading. or 2) Freezes up. I cannot play with me teleporting between zones only to be met with freezing/slow loading. Going to bed since I can't play due to this.

May also want to reduce the number of objects rendered as well. Less player data being thrust through in big bursts can add several FPS and reduce the load on the network card/cpu. This has become even more important as we have seen fewer hardware based solutions for the network interfaces in systems over the last decade or so.
