I usually end up swapping into Shield Oath to soak balls, anyways, even as the off-tank. That fight is ludicrously healing intensive, and the GCD + pittance of mana it costs me is a better tradeoff than the healing I'd need to get back up without it.

My group worked out a system on who would take what balls, usually the OT only took 1-2. You can go into ShO/Defiance to soak balls if needed, though, it's not like the swap strategy requires you to stay in your OT stance the whole time - just makes it easier to since 2 of the 3-4 tank busters are completely negated and the others are heavily cooldowned through. Something you can also do while in DPS stance, especially as PLD, is pop Convalescence while soaking balls and it'll make you a lot easier to get back up to full.

i think finaly swap is better, easier to heal, solo main tank it will just add more difficulty to the heal, tanks for your advices to all anyway
