Also how I took it, changing stances in combat would be insane and blow up the balancing act of the class. It sounded more like a re-work of the two abilities. Then again, maybe CO will just become a swap stance cool down all together.I don't think the comment was in regards to us stance dancing. I think they were trying to emphasize that the changes to CU and CO will be in the style of the Astrologian class, so they will have buffs that differ between our two stances instead of just giving them flat stat increases like the other two healers. So we will get improvements to those two skills, but it'll be in the theme of the AST class and not simply trying to copy SCH/WHM. But we will not be stance dancing.
Always remember the Silver Rule:
"Treat others as they treat you!" ...or something like that.
That is also how I read the comment.
still think shuffle is a crappy skill, they need to rework not give it a shorter CD. No one likes getting the same card twice lol
Maybe just make Diurnal the default effect but make Noct sect a cooldown
Nocturnal Sect
Increase healing by 20% and change your regen effect on Aspect benefic and Aspect Helios into shield effects Duration 20 seconds Cooldown 120 seconds.
Something major needs to change because currently the cardvbuffs are a joke and even if AST healed as well as a SCH . AST would still have horrible mana efficiency and lower personal dps (which pretty much negates their buffing power , since the difference is made up by the other healers just outputting more dps)
After the announced buffs I will not personally play AST if their mana regen is still awful like it is currently.

Mana regen is not an issue. Lots of mistakes yes but so far every raid has not been an issue. Savage may change it.
Thier mana isn't a problem any more than a whms. Which isn't a problem either. With spire you have a 96 second LA, with CO you can add 5 more seconds to the refresh. Hq Mega ethers are very cheap and all mages should use when its off cd. Astro has problems but mana isn't big on the list. Some of you complain just to complain.
Damn, hopefully not jumping the gun, by imma feed my AST xp tonight xD.
I'm glad to hear that they r working on it BTW.
Mana regen is easier on WHM and SCH since they have more ways to both save and regen mana than AST does (and they're both just more efficient healers in general). In intense situations it gets harder on an AST. However they already said they're making changes to mana regen at 60:
I'm guessing too that the buffs/changes mentioned in the OP will indirectly help with mana consumption as well.Q5. As the level cap increased, our maximum MP also increased, but it feels like the rate of MP consumption has also increased. Will this be fixed as our item levels increase?
A5. Even if you increase your item level, this will not change. We plan on addressing specific jobs that are severely hurting for MP.
On another note, we'll finally get to see the TP bars which should help too:
Q79. How is the feature to see our party members' TP coming along?
A79. We're currently working on this so that memory is not completely consumed, and we're planning to just show the bar, not a value. We're aiming to implement this in Patch 3.1.

Just curious, how did you get 96s LA with spire?Thier mana isn't a problem any more than a whms. Which isn't a problem either.
