Yup. They could have given us a song that makes us choose between dps and support (by using mp) but instead bards have to choose between dps and mobility. Goodbye bard. I also wished for some kind of support that's useful outside of raiding, like a melee damage increase or defensive aoe buff. But noooo, they gave astro all the cool party buffs. Summoners can still ress the healer, ninja can goad the tank without a dps loss and scholar can give haste buffs. How come bards have the worst support in 4 mans when they are supposed to be a support role?

Edit. Even when I leveled bard the first time, I was exited about the songs... only to be told to turn them off in every dungeon because it made things go slower. Finally when I started running CT for gear I felt like I was helping my team. Everyone keeps saying raid raid raid savage still needs bards bla bla, but what about the rest of the game? It's a very big contradiction to have our job quest emphasize the importance of songs when nearly every dungeon team is better of without them.

If bards are support, give them actual support that's useful in every kind of content! Too overpowered you say? It's odd how ninja, dragoon, monk, summoner, scholar and astro still get to perform their role fully while also providing support that's useful outside of raids. Even though I have found another job I like, I still wish they made bard and mch more useful (better dps OR better support) in the content I enjoy because things go slower with them around.
