How do I get on Balmung

During down time the server will often open up. It is a very nice server, just have to squeak through lol.

You can use this page as a tool to help find when Balmung is open:

But as others have said just check around when the main population is on down time/asleep.

The lodestone list is not very accurate to use.As it only updates every 5hrs. So only exptly the list to be somewhat correct with in 30mins of that list updateing. As it may say a server is open when its actually not or vis versa.

Of course, but it does say right on the list that they only update it so often :P. I figured if the OP found refreshing the client, and not playing, was disheartening then this could be a better option (could refresh on phone for example).

(Make sure you save your character data so you don't spend time in the character creation screen when Balmung is open, also check balmung when there is server maintenance and other things that cause the server to be less busy).
