how to level up crafting professions quickly?

Quick synthesis also lowers your experience gain from making the items to something like 10%. Isn't that kind of a waste, or is the exp bonus from the manuals the same either way, with just the base EXP from the craft being lowered?

It used to be half of base exp for quick synth, now it's just base exp. The +150% is of the base synth exp, so if you 100% HQ a synth you get the same bonus from the manual you would get from a quick synth. Base exp on low 50's synths is around 4-5k, so you need about 40-50 of them to hit 300k bonus.

Plus I need massive piles of the stuff, I don't want to spend 50 hours crafting supplies for the real synths.
