No Free 3rd Retainer? Really?

Sadly, after just starting gathering levelling in 3.0 it's starting to look like the extra (fifth) retainer I bought during early access won't be enough. He's almost full already and I've not begun crafting! I'm going to have to decide whether to sell everything I gather then pay through the nose to buy it back as and when needed for crafting or to buy a sixth retainer.

I think we should get 1-2 more retainers with HW and every upcoming expansion if they keep shoveling more items like no tommorow...

Can we get a petition going or something to get SE to consider adding a free retainer? I would pay for another one but paying MONTHLY an additional retainer? That's BS.

For 3 new classes and all the new items we're getting we need more inventory space.

I have only posted here maybe a few times. But this has really pushed me to posting here.

Here is my issue.

Being a crafter and having friends who enjoy crafting immensely... the thing that keeps coming up is retainers. Some of my friends have paid for 2+ retainers. To hold just crafting mats for all of their different crafting jobs. Then with HW there was an addition of new materials. That's not including the stuff pouring over into our character inventories. We can't mail our own accounts to mule off materials on to those retainers so we are stuck. Some of us have stuff pouring into our regular inventory in order to save it limiting our ability to actually pick up more or clean a retainer because we don't have the space.

Solution is simple:

Add some more space to inventory. or another tab or 2 in our retainer inventories.
or
Give us a retainer. We deserve it. Some of us have supported you the whole way along paying monthly of 15.00+ for retainers.

Being on an extremely rigid budget, I simply cannot afford to tack on the cost of extra retainers to my monthly sub. Not even one.

It beggars belief that they did that to us instead of allowing us to get some as vet rewards or a one off store purchase.

And yes SE you did promote HW as giving us the same amount of content as we have in ARR. Retainers were part of said content! So cough up two more, please!

If they won't give extra retainer, they should atleast consider to add some Tabs to the actual retainers.

Up to me having 9 tabs on your retainers will already be very satisfactory
It will help you with the storing of new item, but it won't help with more ventures that could remain a payable benefit.
(even if I disagree it, even because we are all paying a monthly fee... but those are the rules of a MMO)

but my reply to them was;
you guys make it look like SE is doing you a favor by adding the "rent" option for something that should be part of your FF14 sub.

whats next? paying or "renting" for new crafting books?special mats for crafters?
or even better paying for faster queues on the DF (only 4.99$ per month)

everyone wait until the next expansion for the option to "rent" 10 retainers and still have only 2

Not even free-to-play games make you rent your bank space. Buy extra bank space? Sure. But not rent.

like i can understand the paying part for having another working retainer that gathers stuff for you, but i don't agree to have our inventory space linked to that and reliant upon that.

our retainers should have more space, so if people want more working npcs you can pay, but you shouldn't have to pay for more space to hold inventory items.

and when you limit the ability to transfer between character it becomes more important of an issue.
