    My opinion on it;

    I shouldn't have to explain why that's inherently stupid if they could.

    Be glad SE made it a toggle instead of changing every ability's function at its base.

    BRDs still have the option of jumping around like a monkey and shooting, but their damage should be rightfully lower for it.

    SE didnt take anything away. They gave you a choice

    I got bards in my 4 man dungeons, and alexander runs that just refuse to use it at all out of principal, and as a healer who clearic stance dances, I hate having them in the party so much.

    This is BS and you know it. It's not like I get penalized when I run around willy-nilly as a DRG, as long as I hit the positionals for all of two skills in my entire arsenal. Mobility is not taxed in this game, and why should it be? Casting should get a boost, sure. Melee range is a tiny, almost nonexistent handicap in this game and everyone who tries to convince people otherwise are just transparently trying to boost their own position at the expense of others.

    You must be one of those melees that don't understand the significance of your Auto-Attack damage. Target lock, always face the enemy, or you will be bad.

    This game needs visible parsers for everyone on the team so this kind of thing can be put to rest.

    lolwut?

    You think I'm dumb enough to not face my target at all times during combat (with the obvious exception of when I'm dodging PBAoEs)? Yeah, nah.

    I am of course talking about strafing the target while locked on. The level of freedom of movement is incredibly high for most melee jobs (especially NIN, for obvious reasons). I can easily strafe circles around bosses while dishing out maximum damage. I still don't see why BRD is sooo special in this regard that they deserve a large damage penalty.

    Nin has 2 rotation positionals now after 3.0. Aoelian Edge and Armor Crush, they have been balanced as well. 2 More positionals if you count TA and SA. TA won't apply the vulnerability debuff if you miss the positional as well, much like the 2.0 days of Heavy Thrust. It could be argued ninja has the most severe penalty now for missing this positional.

    ^This.

    I have to agree with this. Bards just don't understand. They STILL have mobilty AND can still do damage. Like this person said, they have the option to maximize their dps and WM is toggle on and off.

    It's you that don't understand, my little level 50 BRD friend.

    Here, an example for you:
    Let's give positionals to all your heals. If you get them right, you'll heal normally. If you don't do your positionals, you'll heal as if you were in cleric stance. If you're healing at melee range, we will give you a bonus. Now, go have fun with a play style that you never asked for.

    Oh, and let's make the brand new healer job the same, so there's no variety at all.
