New stuck at 50 primals

you dont "need" to finish them but I see your point. I personally am amongst those calling out for a raid and extreme primal roulette to help newer people through it and have my own fun. I used to randomly que extremes alone or with friends but I also admit that I am currently caught in 3.0 contents (and simple shiva ex ques wont pop in 3 hrs).
I think in that case you either should get HW (if you dont have) and play along or pause a bit till the expansion hype lifted. Also imo a FC should help you at those contents no matter what :/ but also our FC paused FC raids last two weeks as people were in HW.
I really hope you get to enjoy the extreme primals because they are fun (GIMME DATT RAIDROULETTE) but maybe you need to wait for the hype to go...

Well, they did allow those of us to queue for the trials daily who hadn't completed the long list of prereq so that was thoughtful of them. It was strange to see that option open for me when HW hit and, when I use it, I only get put into the trials associated with the main story line so I suppose it's working.

I have HW I can't start it til I finish 2.51 or whatever the last patch is a realm reborn. That's my conundrum I want to start the HW expansion but I can't til I finish the old patches which require the hard extreme modes.

You don't need any extremes. I finished all the old content on the day of release so it's still fresh in my mind. I haven't even unlocked the three main trials in EM. I can take a screenie if you need further proof. XD
