    Maybe I haven't made my point clear enough. For the audience it was made for, i.e. players to whom story is more important than fighting, Alex Story Mode is perfectly fine. I have no problem with its existence.

    What I have a problem with is the difficulty planed for Savage. Yes, we do not know exactly how difficult it will be. My fears are that it will be so much more difficult than FCoB (which means: Second Coil Savage when it came out) that "medium-skilled players" like me won't be able to do it, even with the time I can afford to put in.

    the jp versions difficulties have always been savage (or hard mode for us) when second coil of bahamut savage came out for us the jp version was called brutal.

    so when yoshi p says we are getting easy and savage mode he just means easy and hard. (it will be harder than normal coil was but not second coil savage difficulty)

    Most people ITT didn't even read past the title. Wouldn't worry about it. I'm hesitant to agree with your OP simply because we don't know just how difficult Savage will actually be, but if it is as hard (or harder) than Savage SCoB we're definitely going to have this massive gap in difficulty from NM to Savage. If that's the case, very few groups will manage Savage and I don't think Yoshi-P wanted to spend resources on making a harder version of NM only to have an incredibly small minority of the playerbase enjoy it. Surely they've learned their lesson from the original Savage SCoB... surely...
