We do need some minor adjustments. Even something as tiny as adding 2 or 3 seconds to the duration of astral fire would make our lives more bearable playing this great class.
Currently SE is pumping all of the fights full of AOEs which demand (as they always have) that we dodge; the problem is that we have become even more immobile with our new rotation. Before, we could fit in movement and not really lose much if any dps, now if we have to move once (or twelve forbid twice) then our rotation falls apart and we either drop enochian resulting in something like a 40% drop in dps or we miss out on crucial Fire VI casts. The number of things that can cause our rotation to collapse are many.
For those saying things are fine, I have to question how good you are. Anyone can derp through the rotation to a degree, but actually maximizing your damage is now extremely difficult in the field.
Most people dont take that into account. They see big damage and its fine, they dont think about the fact we juggle 2-3 strict timers that will crash and burn if yoyr emergency swift cast is down. Congrats you were target x number of times resulting in 15-60 seconds of being garbage.
Damage wise blm does work, like wow as long as they turret they are monsters. In trash content same deal but in high movement raid content?
Bad luck? No swift cast? Stutter step incorrectly? B3 drops during a b4 cast? Or drops mid phase change before you can reset? Other stupid players NEAR YOU causing more aoes to target your vicinity and wont seem to gtfo your space?
You need to know and be familiar with the fight more than anyone else because now 1 screw up or bad luck and you drop and become hot garbage.
East QoL increase the timers slightly like they did for monk. Boom decent leeway without becoming face roll, you still have to juggle bit youll have till like to recover.
And if you dare taking damage for the sake of your rotation, beware of the angry healer...

Exactly on top of the fact spell speed is a god send now. I personally hate the hive weapon because I lost 72 ss making the 7 fire 4 starter that much harder to maintain due to enochian edging closer to its refresher phase than usual and it puts us in jeopardy I didn't feel the .03 consecutive casts but the loss adds up. I use it anyway because ppl whine.
I also dont like not being able to y se thunder as easily because the timers make it clunky, best time to use it is right before you b4 refresher or after and hope the mp doesn't tick to full resulting in less time fire 4ing which is a loss.
Thunder cloud proc mid fire 4 rotation? Good luck with that especially if leylines is down and no fey wind to risk it.
First I would like to point out just because SE made some changes doesn't automatically equal fixed and second I have seen hardly any BLM complain about their class since 3.0 so not sure what fixing OP is talking about especially since doesn't even bother explaining what he is talking about.
Read the thread, a lot of it is all here to understand.First I would like to point out just because SE made some changes doesn't automatically equal fixed and second I have seen hardly any BLM complain about their class since 3.0 so not sure what fixing OP is talking about especially since doesn't even bother explaining what he is talking about.
Every class got more restrictive to play with their new rotations, not just BLM. Even with monk, which didn't have a rotation change, Greased Lightning is harder than ever to maintain because of the reduced duration and frequent boss jumps, and form shift being essentially random on if it will help or not.
Questing is like participating in an Old Spice Commercial - Talk to me, talk to him, talk to me, talk to him, Now Talk To Me...Sadly, you are not done, back to him, look there, its that mob I never liked, back to me, back to him...I'm in the Waking Sands.
yeah let's fix their op-ness.
What are you talking about? Lack of movement? Enochian?
Please elaborate when you're talking about problems that aren't problems.
