Can we please have less violence towards chocobos in quests?

Most video game violence doesn't bother me, but every time there's a quest where I have to kill a chocobo, or an NPC kills one...or worse, it's just really sickening.

At the very least, can these quests have alternate methods of completion? >_<

Nothing in the game is real. Why play it if you think this way? By this logic, fiction should never move us in any way because it's all fantasy.

I want more quests where you kill people, especially chocobos. I want to eat them because they are extremely tastey lookin'!

I dunno, all of the chocobos I've killed, for a quest or otherwise, have attacked me first. They had it coming.
