I think you're confused about what I'm asking for. I'm asking to have the option to not have the cursor default to "wait" wen the duty pops so I have to press left and then X to enter instead of just pressing X like I used to be able to. It won't automatically take you into the duty when it pops.

I play with controller. And the difference between pressing 2 buttons instead of 1 is exactly the difference between a good UI and a bad one.

No I know exactly what you meant, and my original statement stands.
You know why it doesn't default to that? It's friggen astonishingly easy to rig the X button on your control to repeatedly fire- same with the 0 button on numpad.
With the kind of system you want, people could queue and go afk without worry of copping a lockout. Yeah, they may get kicked from a dungeon once people realise they're afk- but up until that point they'll still get exp for monsters killed.

Because this was such a huge issue pre 2.5... right?

Not a huge issue, but it happens.
Is you having to push 2 buttons instead of one such a huge issue? It's certainly less of a hassle than having to put up with AFK idiots.
I'm sure your thumb will survive the extra button presses, man.
