Warriors even have less excuses for it. ~_~
Our stance:
oGCD. Can switch between the two -easily-.
Dark Knight stance:
Eats a GCD, even to deactivate it -_-
Do I even need to mention the terrifying number of PLDs who arrive in a dungeon and seem to be in such a hurry to get started they forget to activate Shield Oath? :'(
In ALL fairness, I get sync'd all the time, mister! That deactivates my Shield Oath! >=( BUT I'M NOT IN A HURRY WHEN IT HAPPENS. I'm sneaky and I activate it the moment I realize (Sometimes when I see somebody taking aggro off me), hoping no one realized it. <.<... >_>
My raid leader, which is an skilled healer, had this experience today as he was posting, minute by minute, all the things this WAR was doing/saying. Even mentioning the same DPS numbers. This WAR also called him "bad" for not knowing how to heal a FULL DEEPZ L33T WAR.
Now you see, those I'm ok with (everyone makes mistakes, I often place selene during a boss fight and forget to heel her after resulting in her desummoning) but some people dont notice even when they're struggling with aggro or being squishy. In ALL fairness, I get sync'd all the time, mister! Well to all those Dark knights that keep Darkside off the entire Dungeon run thus cutting off a certain amount of their abilities and defense skills....

You are awesome.
And I agree - if you can't keep darkside on during most of the run, you might have to reconsider the class you're playing. The Dark Side buffs are essential!
I confess I've been bad about this until the last dungeon run or two. Now that I've hit level 50 and got all "dem skillz", it's easier for me to lay a couple pages out and start memorizing said layout/start using the Dark Side more often.
At the same time, I've had the dumbest anxiety about tanking (tried with Pld and War, same result), but after trying Drk... anxiety gone, and judging from the surge of commendations and compliments, I'm not half bad at it either! X)

I think you lalafells are just born tanks. Tiny in size, but big muscles. I've had many bad Au Ra DRKs, but every Lalafell tank I've had since HW has been quite good.
The last Au Ra DRK was in Vault with me and tanked the 2nd boss so close to a void portal that I couldn't even do rear positionals without it tethering me >_>. He never moved either, so me and the DRG got sent into the stacking portals behind us and trapped between the orbs and portals at the boss. Needless to say, that didn't end well. Him and the DRG were friends though so I got blamed and kicked for mentioning that he should tank in a better spot.
DRG was dead and on the brink of death constantly, healer eventually died. I just respawned and they raged about that lol.
