! Cloud over behest battle warden...

As have been mentioned, when the Battle Warden is up, people should know they have the opportunity to join the Behest.

However, if such an icon should be implemented, I would like to see them take it a step further, and instead of using the ! as we see with quest NPCs currently, maybe have it show how many more are able to join the Behest. So, if there are currently 3 people signed up, the Battle Warden would have the sign show 5.
This would actually help if you are a small party already playing together and considering signing up, so you know if all will be able to participate.

I think I would rather not have that.

It's one thing to have the ! clouds over quests givers so that players don't have to circle through all NPC in a town every level or so to see if there is a new quest.

But the Battlewarden is quite evident and he is even spamming his/her speech every 15-30 seconds or so. I don't think we need the ! cloud above it.

But the auto-group upon signing up for the behest could be nice.

I'd take some kind of icon over spam any day.

This is a good idea.

Although rather than using the same icon as for Quests, which is likely to cause confusion, I would use a similar but different icon. Replace the ! with a sword or something. And rather than using the same "Bound by duty" icon for players as they do for Leves, they could use the same cloud/sword icon for players in Behest too.

This is an excellent idea, I think that would stand out more... As for those who didn't want it, I'm all for toggles within the config system to turn off these types of markers.

Like both of these ideas. Delmontyb a few have mentioned autogrouping for Behests and think it too would help ppl create PTs if they were unsure how to. But what about us MMO vets? How would you wish SE to address players who are familiar with PT builds or just want to be silly and have an all Pug group or all Con group OR are trying a new PT setup to test for NM runs?

Well to ideas to this question.

First for the behest, players when joining would confirm they want to be in the public group.

For open world, or NM hunts, auto group would be something that is optional. Meaning you as the player could join other adventures in the area if you wish, or turn off group notifications by default... I should post more on this in another topic.

And make the world even more lifeless than it is now?

The whole Eorzea world is lacking in NPC random chatter and NPC life.

Hell the BW should not only spam his/her plea for help every 30 seconds, they should walk around the camp as well.

I like this idea of showing the number of person left to fill in.
