Bard and Ravana EX parry question.

ok, I got a question for fellow bard who cleared Ravana Ex. How do you guys deal with the the Seeing Wing? More often than not I try to spam as much attack as possible so i would not be call a gimp, end up getting counter so my dps is even lower withj slow. It might be a bad habit but most of us queue our next attack and by the time the Seeing Wing come up it is too late. And do you personally turn your back when the Seeing Wing come up or move to the front to attack?

Seeing wing affects bard hits? I thought it was only melee.

It effects physical, as a MCH, I just move with the melee during phases with the parry.

Step 1.
Turn off WM if you'r using it in this fight.

Step 2.
Watch cast bar (not animation) as soon as it starts casting position appropriately since you can now move and attack because of following Step 1.

BONUS:
Make sure you position yourself partially inside the hitbox on the side you need to be, so it's only 2 steps to be at the right side whenever it is about to change.

Tried to do it with WM on sometimes, did it also without WM.
DPS without WM was higher.. honestly, I dont even bother to look at that skill anymore..

My suggestion (got only a few kills): Dont bother using WM, stay right behind ravana and pew pew. The shields will affect your DPS minimally.

Weaponskills will be affected by Seeing XYZ.

Speaking from a machinist standpoint, I do pop GB going into liberation phases or whenever there is a pause, pop gauss round and ricochet, then turn it off. If you're sitting around with nothing to do, you might as well ready up GB for burst

Liberation is debatable, if you got enough buffs to stack then WM would be a dps gain, with increased risk of fucking it up, but even then it's not enough to really bother, unless your team is absolutely struggling for every bit of dps.

For adds, if you have a BLM, you pop foe's before they spawn and they just melt without you even touching them, except the occasional misery end. Since I get to stay on the boss mostly doing the seeing mechanic is much more smooth without WM and we do single tank so the party getting swiped and me getting cast cancelled is not something I'd enjoy either.

A perfect pre 3.0 rotation on a dummy is only 50dps behind a very solid WM rotation there's just not enough gain from WM compared to the increased risk of potentially messing things up with WM.

I meant i have clear it many time, 2 weapon and 16 totem but want to do higher damage. It is just depressing to see myself to be bottom of the threat list.

If the other dps are comparable to your skill level, you won't beat them ever in our current state.
A skilled str build warrior will even outdps you most of the time the way it is right now.
