You will waste time in dungeons for gear that turns into materia you can't get elsewhere. (This is just my opinion). They will have to make it where NM/dungeon gear is not useless. It has to be part of the equation.

They might be sellable item's or tradeable at least so a DoW/M can trade them to a crafter friend to make the items for them, or buy in the market craft the item and sell it for a profit, since they will be very good gear they will be expensive.

It would be like now
A battle party kills Dodore, get the Dodore Wing and sell it in the market wards. A crafter buy the wing and make Dodore Doublets with it.
