I hope so, there was a thread created about it, which got moved to the accepted bug reports forum.Seriously? So that will definitely be back then?
*Edit* - Yep, it got accepted. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...sing-Too-Large
I really hope we get it fixed, thats probably the coolest part of the effect to me.
I love the aura. But it must be smaller and obey settings.

Hate the aura and hope it dies.
Open your eyes red aura was the same in all footagesWhy is the new Darkside aura so huge? It extends several character lengths away from my Dark Knight and looks horrible whenever I'm not in battle, and nearly every single Dark Knight I see has it on permanently. I don't remember this effect being present in the benchmark or any of the preview footage, I remember a more subtle black void around the feet, similar in a way to Warriors defiance. Am I the only one so annoyed by it? I'm hoping the devs can turn it down to maybe a similar red aura that's only a few inches off your character.

what if we were to get something like what happens during the animation of when you activate grit only more permanent and without the giant blades popping out of the ground and the giant aura bubble.
like this
IMO,just give us the black flames, reduce the size of the red aura, make it obey the graphic options and everyone's happy. Just give us what was advertised.
I assume SE is going to go this route because darkside needs the animation so they can't get rid of it completely and it SHOULD obey the settings.
funny though, i tried repeatedly to put in a bug report about it not obeying settings and some intern must be putting it in the working as intended pile.
Whenever a Dark Knight races past me on a mount with that aura twirling about, I feel like I'm about to get a ticket.
lol that made me think of a what if being in grit gave you a similer but blue aura that looked the same but moved in a different manner to make it where they only sometimes blend.
