Yeah I'm at level 52 still getting 14400 exp from the HW fates when I clearly remember in the levels from 1-50 the amount of XP would go up each level.

The mobs in the new areas have like 5x the HP I'd expect... they are just... brutal to kill.

I'm almost inclined to believe they are meant to be killed in groups for farming craft items. However I have no idea what the exp rate is when in a 4 man party.

I found one yesterday and started it with 2 friends (the golem one you mention in the sea of clouds) . It was dying insanely slow, so i shouted, had about 6-7 people show up. If you want to do the fates, shout for them, it works.

Exactly what I did for that FATE too.

Thing is, are you now on your highest class? You're possibly not getting armoury bonus on these new FATEs and that might be why the EXP is lower than what you remember.

Why run fates in the new zones when they give sub-par xp? Its not that the new zones are empty its that people are taking the path of least resistance. Its human nature to do so. At 14-15k per fate in the new zones its just not worth the effort to farm fates there. N. Than is the hot spot, and rightly so. The amount of xp for the work done is pretty quick to level there. Just my opinion of course.

When over half the people in the North Thanalan are botting, I think we can safely say that even if Heavensward zones offered more XP-rewards players would still be cheating to level up with the least amount of effort.

Which zone they're doing it in is really not the issue. They won't be happy until they can press a button and hit level 60 instantly with any class, and even then they'd probably automate the button push if possible. Toggling through all those classes is rough work, after all.

Just a ? I do fates in the new areas and i get 20-25k exp off them. Of course I already have a 60 and am leveling another job. But besides that where are you guys getting the 14-15k exp from fates at. Cause like I said I get 20-25k off the new zone fates.

The zones were insanely packed during early access and the first few days after release, when people were doing quests to level their first job to 60. The moment everyone hit 60 on one job and already cleared out all the quests, the zones were essentially done except for the hunts.
