I also dont do these fates in these new maps <,<
1st point: They give a crap amount of XP like 2% XP for needed next lv up (doing 1 lv+51 dungeon gives around 35-40% of needed XP)
2nd points: Sadly these fate bosses have big load of HP and there music is the same (annoying and loud) like in FF:ARR =.= I SOO avoid them.
Can we please get an option to turn off every battle music? At least the fate ones? >_< I really like to hear the background music from maps.
They have failed to make doing anything in the open world areas usefull so asides from gatherers there wont be alot of people there.
I have high level characters on Balmung, Ultros, and Leviathan. All 3 server's new areas are dead, you hear shouts for hunts now and then, people threatening to murder moogles now and then, but go to a FATE, there's like 1-2 people doing it. Few birds and dragons in the sky.
SE don't want you to level too fast, that's why there's now Heavenwards low level roulette and FATE exp is low.
SE likes to live in their own bubbles. I wouldn't be surprised the new patch will nerf N.T./Mor Dhona FATE exp, and Mor Dhona leve exp.
it's funny because when 2.0 was released, it was all about FATES and no one did dungeons for leveling. Then they kind of balanced it where you were rewarded for doing both. Now, it's the total opposite. 3.0 FATES are dead, everyone spamming dungeons or botting northern thal.
Odd. I see people in the new zones all the time. There are always other players questing, doing FATEs, or gathering wherever I happen to be at.

I believe it was stated in a live letter they made the new areas huge so they could add new content down the road in the HW maps. While in ARR they were very constrained on what they could add, and where, since the maps were small. This doesn't mean anything what is happening now of course.






It's been dead on Midgard for about a week ish now. This is what happens when almost the whole game is instanced, people will just sit in one spot (Idyllshire/house) and just queue, causing every other zone to be void of people. It was like this since 2.0, nothing's changed and you can clearly see SE spent a lot of time on the zones too.
Less instance everything, more open world stuff.
Also just a thought, why haven't they allowed pt members to help in a duty yet? It could even scale the more people who help you so you don't plow through it. It's supposed to be a mmo, yet forces and encourages you to do everything solo, from faster queues if solo (unless with a tank or healer), to almost every duty being solo minus the dungeons. Questing? Pretty much solo.
I'm sure if they actually added way more open world content and a reason to go out and do stuff, hunts/maps aren't cutting it, then the zones would be far from dead.
