New Areas are Empty

I've noticed a lack of players in the new areas too, but I just assumed it was because the areas are large and the players are spread out. I do not believe they are instanced however.

On some servers they were temporarily instanced to prevent the server from crashing if 3000 people flooded into the same zone. They'll probably remove it when they do the patch to add Alexander.

It's the 4th of July in the US. A lot of people are with family today rather than playing.

lots of gathers int he zones atm also. they might seem empty but most people can fly now so everyone is above the group and prolly moving faster than u can see.

After early release the new zones are very empty, and I play on Balmung..

I'm on balmung and always in new zones fishing. lots of shouts. lots of debates, convos, trolls, etc. Definitely nowhere near dead (I play from 9am to 1am daily)

Yes, no one does the fates. But lots of ppl are still using the zones.

I'm on Balmung too and I see loads of people in the new zones. Don't forget we're dealing with instanced zones, so whatever you see in one, double it.

People do fates but it's not as crowded as N Than. I'm bummed because I want to do the boss fates for achievements but no one is ever at Special Tarasque Force or the big golem one in Sea of Clouds. They need to make the Fates in the new zones give more experience to make people do those instead of just going to N Than.

I found one yesterday and started it with 2 friends (the golem one you mention in the sea of clouds) . It was dying insanely slow, so i shouted, had about 6-7 people show up. If you want to do the fates, shout for them, it works.

I hope you're right, its kind've depressing to see the new areas so empty- the server I'm on isn't particularly populated to begin with.

well, except for hunts and mainquest, the zones offer nothing.

So no alt class will visit them unless they do some hunt bills.
