That's strange. My game started right after the first cutscene ended.
Maybe your game is broken, or you're just trollin

I agree with you here.Ok, but you have to remember that active players can go weeks/months between updates without any story, where all they've been doing is grinding combat. And if it comes down to designing a game for active players versus possible returning players, I'm going to have to side in favor of the former.
And do what? Grind Shiva and Ramuh for gear I don't need? Maybe I should go back and grind Haukke's Manor while I'm at it.Also, nowhere does it say you had to spend the last three weeks grinding cutscenes. Why can't you just play the game normally (i.e. a little mainstory questing mixed in with a plethora of other activities that are available).. you know, pace yourself rather than trying to race to the end as fast as possible. That's on you, not anyone else.
If you just want to get back to the game and be rushed to 60 to have the shiney new "end game" gear without any effort involved to catch up, and without caring about the story, you have to know that this was already heavily debated and the general consensus was "deal with it, this isn't WoW".
Cute. No, but seriously. New expansion comes out, all my gear is 110 from quests. Why do ilvl 80 content when my gear is 110?If you just want to get back to the game and be rushed to 60 to have the shiney new "end game" gear without any effort involved to catch up, and without caring about the story, you have to know that this was already heavily debated and the general consensus was "deal with it, this isn't WoW".
I have to completely agree with this, WoW has watered down it's mechanics so much its quite literally click accept quest return rinse repeat, now to me THAT's boring and terrible, where as I find the story and talking to npc's a huge plus in this game.
Diehard FF fan.
Doesn't like cutscenes.
What
Then don't do it all in one sitting. It's your own fault because you want to rush ahead to endgame.
