I completely agree with everything op said except that 2.0 had a good story.

I'm having fun right now because everything is new, but it's only new, not different. Alexander sounds like it'll be bahamut coils with a different name, chances are good the new 24 man will be a CT clone, and that the new relic weapon quest line will follow the same formula as Zodiac. I do have a little hope though because the expansion just released that something different will be released in the near future.
