    I don't think having summons with real textures that are a little bit larger than human would be a problem in battles.

    in FFXI it wasnt a problem either.. and they could make it almost same size as a player..

    I would have liked small version of the primals in the FFXI model. I'm not really fond of the mini-floating versions myself.

    I see what you mean, thinking back on it. Eos and Selene even have an actual backstory. However, an ungraded model probably won't make the Egis any more appealing in this manner.

    They showed that they can make them look better if you look at the granite gallowers.

    But to answer why mounts will always have more detail OP is this.

    Not every one is going to be a summaner but every one will use a mount.
