He said Lahabrea and Igeyorhm is fallen. And we know Igeyorhm is dead. And we do not in fact know that Estinien is salvagable from Nidhogg or not.
Lahabrea is dead and nobody wants him back. He is boring, fighting him is a joke, and he was killed by an old man. Let his story end there. Elidibus is a much more interesting villain.

After Heavensward, Alphinaud talk tring to find a way to save Estinien, even is just a frase, im total confort that will inideed save him on the future.
Maybe freeing Estinien could free Lahabrea too?
That would be a hard decision.

It seems that dragon power is greater than the Ascians as Nidhogg's eye is able to breakthrough the Azys Llla shield and even absorb Lahabrea.
That are two different pieces.
As we got told, the dragon eyes did absorb aether all the time to get stronger and stronger. The eye did absorb the weakened lahabrea that was not able to be more that an aethercloud at this moment.
The other thing: The eye did not break through the shield. I was the battery for a machine that focussed the energy for the breakthrough.
The first one was charging the eye. The second one was discharging the eye.

I suspect I've figured out the ending for the 3.# storyline... Anyone who played Final Fantasy XI and cleared Abyssea probably knows where I'm going with this;
So, in Abyssea the final boss was Shinryu, who came to be when Promathia (final boss of the Chains of Promathia expansion) beat the alternate dimension player character and started absorbing other characters (I suspect Bahamut was absorbed, but I don't recall that ever being specifically mentioned). Similar thing is going to happen here - Lahabrea was absorbed by Nidhoggs Eye. Eventually we'll kick Nidhoggs butt, Lahabrea will gain back enough strength to attempt another "We are become one!", but instead of Ascian Prime (Ascian + Ascian), we get Shinryu (Dragon + Ascian). Queue epic fight, and probably the Eorzean Alliance putting Omega to good use, as it fulfills its aged old purpose (as far as Final Fantasy games go) of destroying Shinryu.
I'll eat some bacon if something like that doesn't end up happening...
I feel like once Nidhogg's taken care of, Lahabrea might try to possess Estinien. I'm sure when Estinien's freed after Nidhogg's defeat, he'll be weakened which is when Lahabrea could try something... Lahabrea will see how we're trying to save our friend, so he might use him against us.

I think that Lahabrea will be released if we save Estinien though I suspect its not something we will realise is going to happen until it happens. I don't see Estinien being possessed again cause it would feel pretty cheap to have us jump through hoops to free him only to have him become possessed again straight away.
What could be interesting is how this might impact on the Ascians. Elidibus seems to very much have an agenda of his own in many ways. With Lahabrea 'dead' he might take actions that if Lahabrea were to return might cause tensions. A bit of conflict within our enemies forces could be interesting.

I swear to God, if Lahabrea comes back to life I will do something drastic.
You would think after the whole "stupid friendship" rush attack on him last time killed him considering it's hydaelin being crystal aetheryte energy.
He is so boring. Stay dead. Ten bucks if he comes back he is actually possessing Minfilia ' s dad to make her relevant when she returns cause you no she isn't dead and I wish she was.
