Then bad healers would go from complaining about being harassed for not dpsing to complaining for healing being too hard.Yeah, blame it on the healers , if the dps arent capable of doing their **** easy rotations right.
Also your sweet home made qoute doesnt explain at all, why some healers are not dpsing if they are not THAT familiar with a fight.
Sometimes i wished SE would remove the cleric stance and make healing alot harder, so we can actually be what we want to be ..

You can't help those dumb dumb DPS who does not understand their rotation, if they can't do their job properly at level 50, now they have to deal with FIVE new abilities to weave in. And you are all aware of how much reading these so called casual cassie, cathy, and christie love to do. Monk, Dragoon and Summoner suddenly become a whole new jobs with these rotations. And I doubt we have yet a chance to optimize. Also how many of these players are have ilevel 160-170 total? They are probably wearing various gears at level 120-149 which hurts DPS badly (also do they eat food? and material meld their accessories?). Granted bad players who have no clue about their rotation still going to fail your group.

Probably the biggest hurdle for fresh 60's right now is learning how their new abilities interact with their overall rotation. There's no parser in the game so how is anyone supposed to know how well one set of rotation does against another?
From a fresh view, a black mage is used to throwing in and keeping his thunder DoT going, but now with the new tools, and learning fire 4, it's actually a dps loss trying to keep thunder up, but not many people would know that without a parser.
Bard's entire playstyle was changed up for them. Without a parser, how are they to know how well(or how horrible) Wanderers Minuet affects their overall DPS?
Bismarck X's DPS check isn't particularly strict, but since SE doesn't support parsers, no average player is really going to know how well they're even really doing with their new toys. If SE doesn't want people to have the ability to measure their efficiency, then why require checks of efficiency?
I'm in support for parsers becoming allowed, especially since most bosses have a DPS check of some sort, and enrage timers. Some might use it for gloating purposes, some might even use it to mistreat others, but if you don't know how you're actually doing, how can you improve? People might not like it, may think it adds pressure to the job, but at the end of the day, would you get anywhere if the healers only did 50% of the required healing for a boss fight? Would you get anywhere if the tank only generated half his threat, or just didn't use his defensive cooldowns because "he just wants to play the way he wants to"? You wouldn't get anywhere. Being a DPS isn't any different, but where as there are apparent measurements of how well a tank and healer are doing, SE doesn't want visible measurements for DPS other than "we just can't make this DPS check", but there are 4 DPS, and all of them have to put in their own amount of effort. Only way to see who is not performing their best, is by use of a parser.

Ravana has harder dps checks then Bismark and requires much more raid awareness. But yes a lot of dps in the game do not know their optimal rotations and just do low dps. Most likely they will only beat it once they over gear it. Once like Alexander normal which is suppose to be CT difficulity and later esoterics tomes which will give low dps a lot more gear they can overgear bismark and beat the dps check without knowing how to play with the optimal rotation.

And whilst you are all arguing about parsers and "bad dps" these "bad dps" and "dumb dps" could just buy a carry (which are going around for both Bismark and Ravana).
If your experiences are really that bad form a static, there will be thousends of likeminded players who can play at the same time as you. There are many many many ways to avoid what seem to be called "bad dps" and "dumb dps" Just because there are parties advertising carries now shows that your problems are not one dps but a few of them.
Ok so, I'm gonna go over why this post is absolutely not needed in a few bullets:
- One if you or your group is not meeting the DPS requirement to kill the Blue/Green add phase in Bismarck, then you don't have a chance to clear Ravana and his Warlord's Shell. There is a dps check in that content as well, and multiple times, unlock Bismarck, nuff said.
- Parsers will NEVER fix bad players. What will, is them putting in more time and effort into their class, their rotation and the content that they are running so they become comfortable. Parsers are only tools and will only be tools to show you physical evidence of your progress or lack there of. Installing an in-game parser is only going to alienate players who would be subject to those who seek to flame, bash and haze others out of sport or fun, for not performing to their ability or in most cases, the ability of someone from a World 1st contending raid group off Reddit.
- This is a casual game, always has been, always will be. Hell, a poll was taken right before Echo was introduced to Final Coil where, on my server, Exodus: Out of 45,500 people, only 212 people had cleared. That's less than 1% had cleared T13 before Echo was added, that's sad in terms of wanting to see more progression for your community. At that same time, I believe it was only 12-13% had cleared T9 still. Either people don't have time in their lives or don't care about the content, either way you aren't always going to find like-minded players in Party Finder.
- If you are in fact in the Party Finder trying to do progression, I suggest you do one of two things: Find a solid team and stick with them and/or find yourself a static to run with. Going in technically blind to every bit of content you do is only going to lead to more frustration.
- Healers should never be looked at to meet dps requirements, period. As a main healer myself, I do throw in my dps, quite often, but my group never will look at me and say that I'm the reason we hit enrage. No, you need to first look at your dps. Their numbers need to improve. A healers dps is only there to supplment the phase transition in content, it should never be used to make up for the lack of dps. Fix or find new dps, period.
- On that note, Yoshi P himself in and interview even said that DPS from healers was never taken into account for dps requirements set on content. In fact, only Tanks and DPS were taken into account in a set amount of gear (Usually highest end crafted gear at the time) and then scaled back 15% so that even the average or slightly below average player should in all rights be able to clear it.
Thing is, this game is casual and will remain that way. If you don't like it, move on instead of drying your tears on the forums towel. If you are sick of all the bad players, well, go teach them how to be better. If they don't want to learn, then let them be. There needs to be some give and take in the FFXIV community. Not everyone is willing to learn, but if you aren't interested in learning, stay out of content. I think that is the main thing people need to realize. Same goes for you, if you aren't willing to teach or help, stop complaining, you aren't helping nor changing the situation at all.
Now I'm off my soap box, please stop this farse.

Most likly people are talking about pick up groups not set groups that have played together for a long time. And whilst you are all arguing about parsers and "bad dps" these "bad dps" and "dumb dps" could just buy a carry (which are going around for both Bismark and Ravana).
