I can swear to everyone that Qarn hard mode's theme reminds me of a song from Final Fantasy XII but I for the life of me I can't remember the name of the track.

Yeah, I think it's Garamsythe. There are a few notes here and there that immediately remind me of the theme. Particularly around 1 minute into the song.

BTW if you listen to the "Eternal Legend of the Wind" (Based on FF3) it will sound a LOT like the Crystal Tower (which is also based on FF3's CT)

I don't think Azys Lia sounds like the FF6 floating continent theme, or at least if it is, it's so far removed to be a different song altogether.

It DEFINITELY quotes it, at least for one section. Compare:

It's just that the instrumentation and the tempo are so different that they sound completely unlike each other. Also, I'm pretty sure Azys Lla is playing in a different key (but I've got no practice in that, so someone with better ears than mine will have to take a stab at it).

You mean the part where the music is about to loop? I think that sounds more like the beginning of most regular battle themes in Final Fantasy.

Ishgard's theme is pretty much a remix of the Final Fantasy crystal theme.

I could see that, but again, it's probably too much of a stretch for the average person to see familiarity with it...

I don't know why, but Foundation's and maybe Pillars (of Ishgard) theme sounds like another reworked version of the Final Fantasy theme. (aptly titled 'Final Fantasy')
