Parsers will NEVER stop people from being bad, generally speaking. Proof: WoW and pretty much any other game with such things as cookie cutter stats/builds/rotations (this includes games like Dark Souls). It's rather delusional to believe it will magically fix bad DPS to the extent of being noteworthy. At best, it'll help out statics and PF. DF however, parsers will not save you from their existence, and in some cases even if they do listen to advice... they'd be kicked without a single bit of help stated (or they'd likely encounter badmouthing then a kick).

Parsers generally should be allowable in this game, even if they essentially are right now, but not under some ignorant excuse that it's for the greater good of letting people know they're bad. It'll help you in statics and PF, but that's likely not a scenario we're talking about here, since chances are you do use/mention them in a static or PF anyway. Solo DF is the most used function in the game, afterall. This is generally where bad DPS come to play... just like any game with a solo queue function that allow parsing.

I had to leave the party I was in when I saw I was doing more dps as an STR DRK offtank than some of the dps I was in during the first 2 minutes phase lmao.

Guess what, next party I got we cleared it on 4th try.. Party DPS was like almost the double.

Also, healers actually dpsing is sure a great help as well. Sadly, a lot of healers are just like "boo I'm a healer, I'll just afk 10 sec before the next Cure II, why thank you"

Nope, but by having an official parser, you would be allowed to initiate a vote to kick the really low dps that's bringing down the whole team and replace him. And then magically have enough dps to pass thru the dps check !

Sadly, at the moment, if you EVEN HINT at someone not doing enough DPS (even though THIS IS a DPS check) you're gonna have a bad time ^^

EDIT: I just find it funny, lots of people on ffxiv talked mad trash about how ffxi was just grindy and not challenging and now look at them.. struggling on the very first primal.

100% agree. Doesn't matter who you bat for there are always bad apples. But the highlighted line I personally think is a bigger issue. An online game where you "play as you want" affects me too. So now my enjoyment has to suffer due to stubbornness and policed by devs.

That's when I take the timer and they no longer affect me with how they are playing as I proceed to play the solo crafter game, the game no one can affect! (Just the RNGod.) ;-;

I'm sure quite a lot of statics doing Final Coil did use a parser.

Problem is, bad DPS will be bad DPS, parser or not. a Parser just tells you how you did, not how to play your job.

Yeah, blame it on the healers , if the dps arent capable of doing their **** easy rotations right.
Also your sweet home made qoute doesnt explain at all, why some healers are not dpsing if they are not THAT familiar with a fight.

Sometimes i wished SE would remove the cleric stance and make healing alot harder, so we can actually be what we want to be ..
