Dear god yes so hard. One of the better things WoW did was let you cross-realm play with friends on other servers in dungeons and stuff.

But it did. We used to be able to play with the other NA data centers. And yes it was confusing. We had a player with the same name as an fc member in the duty but it was a different person. And even with the data center split or together, you can have duplicate names anyways. I don't know what you were suggesting.
It worked so well that they removed it because it didn't work... Logic. But it did. We used to be able to play with the other NA data centers. And yes it was confusing. I don't understand why they don't extend party finder cross server group. I mean, really, duty finder does the same thing, just matches random people in your server group up, allow the ability to cross server party finder. Make it an option when you recruit for a party finder.
Yeah I would really like the idea. Technically can be done, various mmos (gw2, wow) already do this.
I have friends in other servers which I want to play with!
He's thinking the same thing I did, because your topic title says grouping across data centers, when your post is actually talking about grouping across servers within a data center. When ARR launched the duty finder wasn't limited to data centers so you could be grouped with people from any server, which is what he's referring to, they removed that.
The difference here is, when ARR launched there were no data centres at all. You just picked a server and that was the only thing separating you from other players.
Duty Finder seems to work the same, limited to the servers available to it. They just separated clusters of servers from each other and called them data centres.

Yes please. There've been a lot of threads on this issue during 2.0 Beta and throughout afterwards.
I really hope Yoshi P considers allowing:
* Cross Server Friends List and Cross Server Parties (w/ Friends) in 3.0.
It allows friends to connect (and create new friends); adds a greater sense of Community (i.e., it's not a Faceless as it is now with Duty Finder (where you don't care about the people running w/ you because after the Instance, the party is disbanded and you usually never see these random people again).
No it says Cross "Data Center" grouping, meaning I want to group with other people on different servers on the same Data Center. He's thinking the same thing I did, because your topic title says grouping across data centers, when your post is actually talking about grouping across servers within a data center.
