bum-rushing content

i dont understand why so many people just lvl 1-50/50-60 as soon as humanly possible only to slip right back into the "im bored as hell so i guess ill just keep paying my sub to log in 2x a week" mentality that hit most pretty hard between 2.xx and 3.0. is that really entertaining enough to pay to not play?

Because the leveling and gearing content is boring, so we rush it. The endgame stuff is fun, but we want to get it down ASAP to show off. Then there's not enough endgame stuff to keep us entertained, but we still like the game and want to keep playing, we just now have time to play other stuff. The OP probably cares because he runs into people that log in, take care of their business, and log out without giving a hoot about anything else. In an MMO, it's nice to have other players around, even if you don't play with them, you can chat, whether game related or not. Don't take a jab at the OP for having a different playstyle, just try explaining how yours differs from his. I myself am in no rush for content, I'll take my time to hit 60, then burn through the gearing phase to prep for Alexander.

I hope you mean this ironic, because if you dont this is the worst experience one can have in a mmo.

Topic: well there are these who want to have the longest virtual dick. so they play several mmos, kill bosses the quickest way possible only to shove other their virt. dick in the face and say "LOOK AT MA EPEEN! MY EPEEN IS AMAZING!"

They fail to grasp that profiling over a mmo is a really sad thing to do and that some real serious cases need psychological treament (not everyone some rare really hard cases).

I hate bum rushing content too, but my raid group wanted us all 60 and geared before Alexander. That said, it was a blessing in disguise, because now I'm not on everyday doing dailies, and dungeons. Now that I've beaten the story I can enjoy other stories like my mining story, and my armorer's storyline. There's plenty of story to go around!!

Also to point out...MMO means massively MULTIPLAYER online...not SINGLEPLAYER.

I'm not rushing anything. Adding to the fact isn't trying to up one level now going from 50-60 equivalent to 3 levels or more in 1-50? (I put 'or more' because for sure between 1-10, like 50-51 would be like from lvl1 straight through lvl10 - judging by how quickly you can get past 5-6 levels early game [aka level 1-10])

I think he is talking about people always complaining about how bored they are and how there isn't any content and then you see their job and they are lv 60 on 3 jobs and the rest ignored achievement points barely in the 3k and so on.

yes it was ironic. I will never understand why people do this but then again I don't expect much from people online and when something nice does happen I'm pleasantly surprised. Is the need to say I beat this first and got this gear, therefore I am better more important than the actual enjoyment of the game and development of the story?
