Keep in mind that the majority of the player base are nowhere near that level of content. Wait until the normal players who have jobs and don't live with their parents get to 60.

Again this fking disgrace of pulling the RL card on a game forums.
It is perhaps they have a job and family to take care of rather than wasting hours teaching some random on the internet that they may not see again. It may sound mean/rude - but it is how it is.

Yep, agreed because that generalization is completely ridiculous. I'm out working an IT job for about 40 hours each week (or longer if more things need to get done), still managed to hit 60, buy all my law pieces, farm hunts for enough seals to upgrade all my gear, and farm Ravana EX enough to get my weapon. So when I do have playtime, I prefer to spend it efficiently.
So they have time to spend hours farming. But not spend 10 to 15 minutes teaching a new player about an EX fight. That's some lovely logic.

Since you are being aggressive I'll be too in kind. Logic? Are you not good at it? Time spent farming is completely up to me and relying on me. 10-15 minutes to teach someone? Where do you get that delusion? Let's take bis ex. It take 5-7 minutes for a complete clear if remember right. So you are implying after we explain the fight. May be take 2-3 minutes depending on player. We go through maybe one run and then the guy is ready to clear? That's called a carry. You paying for this? You giving me something? Why does my time have to be spent teaching some random?
Am I forgiven....

It may only take 5-10 mins to explain the fight but it may take hours watching you fk up and wipe the group
It is not uncommon for learning parties to time out of instances and raids and not get a clear out of it. Look at the road block that was T5/T9 or even Ex Primals. Some of these can be 4-7 manned even before the expansion. Yet even up until the expansion people are still complaining they are too hard - learning groups failing etc.
Heck, there was a thread about T5 how people can't do divebombs right before the expansion. They "knew" the mechanics but still manage to wipe the group, GG
When people make a farm party, they are there to farm, not to carry you.
If you want to learn the fight, make/join learning parties or find your FC/LS friends.

This. Though i wish I didn't have to work so much and had more time to play. And it's because I know how this goes in this game. If you don't learn ex primals in the first week you are pretty much screwed. The same people who are now being rude in PF and only wanting experienced players etc are the same ones a few days ago who would have been fine wiping and having fun learning it themselves. After that first week or so the hostility kicks in. If you dont already have a clear then you're a scrub. Even learning parties now will be much more hostile because the expectations are that others are clearing already so we should be too.

I hate this kind of statement. It's on par with one "type" of gay person bashing another "type" of gay person within their own LGBT community. We're all gamers at the end of the day, and we're all in this together doing something we enjoy and perhaps love. Why make such generalising sweeping statements? Are well-adjusted, hard-working, independent individuals also not capable of being hardcore endgame gamers or is that reserved for "basement-dwellers" only? Get a grip.
I know you're probably being a bit tongue-in-cheek, but this kind of attitude is more toxic than what the OP is describing and is a big problem within the gaming community as a whole.
Hear hear! I work 5-7 hours each day, even Sundays. I also work out six days a week, I'm married and I have a reasonably active social life. I'm in full i179 on DRK and will have WHM fully geared and feared in about a week. I'd never join a hardcore raiding guild because I don't like those kind of extra obligations or commitments to an already regimented schedule. Still, I have every intent to play and see all the content and it certainly doesn't take me long to get to that point.

I have a fulltime job and a busy life(mostly kept busy by the family), yet I'm leveling a second battle class to 60 already. I'm also in a raid group. I do it by sticking to a (raid) schedule. If I couldn't fit in time to relax and do something I like then I'd go crazy!
My raid leader is a pharmacist who works even more hours than I do. My raid groups bard is a father of two with a full time job. My raid groups BLM is a loving husband with a full time job. All of them have level 60s already.
This "basement dweller no-lifer" stereotype is old. Not sure why it's still a thing.
