Major plot hole with Heavensward ending (Spoilers, duh)

If you notice the spears on Thordan's son's coffin there are 2 unnamed spears resembling these:

with a Black Gae Bolg in the center.

I'm guessing this will be DRG's new ultimate weapon. Perhaps each weapon would be a weapon wielded by the knights of Thordon, perhaps even a weapon used by the knights in the various cutscenes..though they looked a bit generic.

I wonder what this spear would be called.

Possible names:
Ryunohige/Dragon Whisker: Named after FFXI's DRG Mythic weapon.
Rhongomiant: Named after Roland's spear. Roland was King Arthur's bffl which would be fitting considering the whole King Arthur motif.

We are specifically told that the Garleans call all Primals Eikons because they learned it from reading Allagan texts and making the assumption that Primals and Eikons are the same thing, but we are informed that they are not, in fact, the same. Primals, as we have been told, are summoned by the needy with great quantities of aether. Eikons, however are far older, and we are told Odin is one of them, as are the Warring Triad.

Sorry...you're right, I'm confusing my mythos. Rhongo was one of Arthur's lances. Roland was unrelated.

The Rhongomiant was Arthur's Spear. It was one of his armaments along with Carnwennan (His Dagger), and Caledfwlch (his sword). Caledfwlch being better known as Excalibur.

Nidhogg and Estinien are bound together when he became the Azure Dragoon. His hatred is what defends him from Nidhogg fully taking over in the past but when he held the 2 eyes together even if it lacks the Aether it still contains all the hatred and wrath of Nidhogg and when Estinien sought to finally be relieved of the dragon and live a peacful life he lost the walls defending him against the wyrm allowing him to easily take him over.

They had also been HEAVILY foreshadowing that Estinien was going to lose control. I was expecting it, and not at all surprised, when it finally happened. Didn't quite expect him to BECOME Nidhogg, but there's that. Will be interesting to see if/how we rescue him from that. I'm sure Midgardsormr and Hraesvelgr will be back to play with that storyline.

I hope his father makes him to see reason but I doubt it. Why? I'm not sure how are his relations with his sons that were involved in the dragonsong war. Midgarshomir, despiting that he " at the begining ", thought that dragonsang war was totaly justified, he seem to play a neutral position. Like " you children ar right but im not going to involve here, its your problem ". Dont say beacuse he was dead, dont forgett that the war lasted 1 thousand years, Midgy was like unabailable for how much? the last 20 years?. and even that wouldnt not have been an excuse for not getting involve, he didnt wanted to get involved at all for some reason, despite he thought that his children had the right.
