I'd say that, if we take what Ramuh says to be true, we have confirmation that the world existed in some other dualistic state before Hydaelyn. Unfortunately, with what we now know about primals being created entirely from the imaginations of the summoners, I'm not sure if we can even fully trust what he said anymore. It's just as likely he knew only what the Sylphs collectively thought they knew about the origins of the world, and that may only be a fragment of the real truth.
I think they should explore more of the beast-tribes origins. Right now, all that can be said is the Ixal probably evolved from Allagan "Iksalion" chimerical constructs that escaped Azys Lla.
I think it also finally answers the question of Moggle Mog being a primal or not. As they are all physical manifestations created through Aether of dreams and wishes of the summoner/s. Which is why the Emporer wants to commit genocide as you cannot stop sentient beings dreaming.I'd say that, if we take what Ramuh says to be true, we have confirmation that the world existed in some other dualistic state before Hydaelyn. Primal: An aetheric projection created and given physical form by desire or fear. (my definition taken from the info we were given)

Sounds like a good definition at the moment! We know they take aether (generally in the form of crystals, preferably very pure ones) to summon, and can be done so with great amounts of desire to shape the aether into a (presumably) composite shape based upon the summoners' various ideas of how the Primal should be shaped.
We're all having nice theories here but primals aside, I think we can only fully understand what the Ascians want when we actually know what their true god, Zodiark, is.
I can't stop thinking of poor Menphina and her moons being used by the ascians. That "true echo power" also bugs me.
Thats what we actually do, in a small scale, to get our egis on Summoner's quest line.

The Empowered primals bit isn't really there to help us I mean yes it did make us powerful but in the end it is actually hurting Hydaelyn...Remember that as long as Hydaelyn is filled with Aether Zodiark will never appear in our realm but if beast tribes keep summoning primals left and right then the Aether that sustains her will deplete and that will allow Zodiark to breach our realm. Also as for Elidibus I have a feeling he his the mediator and is the one that keeps a lookout for the balance between darkness and light..Him approaching Urianger saying that they will need each other if they want to save this star and him summoning the Warrior of Darkness and saying that we are growing too strong --- I won't even be suprise if Elidibus is the only one who knows about the WoD.

Edibudus wants Zodiark's return too. Wild thought. What if Eldibeus IS Zodiark but in a lesser form?
Like Eldibeus is litteraly Zodiark's will given a form that could access Hydaelyn and pave the way for his return.
With Lahabrea being dead it's really starting to look like Elidebeus is the true Dutero Antagonist with Zodiark being the Unseen Primary Antagonist.

Yeah it fits what the Vanu said about Bismarck too (or the non-minded Gnath).
On the subject of Elidibus though, there is a theory saying that unahalkai (or whatever, the boy giving Ex quests) would be Elidibus himself. Though it's unclear why he would like us to destroy eikons, even more so if said eikons can wake up even more powerful primals (the warring triads). Any thoughts ?
I don't know enough about him yet (If anyone really know much tbh), but that kid really give me this creepy "I've got a secret and it's going to KILL YA!!!!!" vibe to him. I don't think he can be trusted because even Urianger said that he wasn't an enemy "For the time being at least" So it seems even Urianger doesn't trust him. Weather he's Elidibus or not I cant say but I know 100% that I don't trust him and it will not surprise me if he tries to pull a Kefka on us after we go to stop the warring triad.Yeah it fits what the Vanu said about Bismarck too (or the non-minded Gnath).

This is also why I thought he was Elidibus..In 2.55 we saw Urianger meeting in secret with the Emmisary elidibus and him saying that they need each other and a kid who has a white mask and a white robe? + Urianger saying he's an ally for now makes me think this is Elidibus in disguise and as we all know our character won't work with him if we know his true identity - as for his reason either he's the mediator between light and dark like I said above or he's playing a different game than Lahabrea and the other Ascian into bringing Zodiark into the world.
