If they did that to RA than PLD would lose some dps overall as well. Single target damage is better than aoe anyway, i mean you are really going to use aoes mainly in speed runs so it's not that big of a deal.

It's very noticeable and painful at lv.60 most packs require AoE and Flash isn't cutting it when your AoE DPSer is putting out 800+ damage a second and your single target DPSer is doing 900-1200 damage a second. It's very hard to control mobs.
