Personally, I disagree with you. Time is a good measure for difficulty. Want proof, read a gaming magazine or one that reviews games. One of the criteria is time needed to play/finish and the ability to play the game IF or after you finish.

As for your content staement. Again...don't see anywhere he says what anyone should expect for content. LOL We as players know what we would LIKE for content.
I take professional reviewers about as seriously as I take burning clowns. Time as a measure of difficulty or value is not a good metric due to it's high subjectivity. The very fact that we're debating it proves my point. I've played 10hr games that were worth every penny I spent at full price and played 30hr games that weren't worth the cost of the disc they were pressed on. I've also played games that were very short and very difficult along with ones that were long but stupidly easy. Time spent means nothing. How satisfying the content is to the individual playing it is all that matters.

The problem with MMOs comes in the fact that everyone is playing differently and views the content differently. The hardcore want timesinks to prove they're hardcore, the less invested players want accessibility. Guess who's gonna win? The days of uberlong timesinks in MMOs are pretty much over.
