So since bard is crap now what should I main?

Bard isn't crap. Wanderer's Minuet is crap. There's a clear difference here.

With the post-52 BRD skills being gated behind WM, and WM being crap, one could say BRD high-level gameplay is crap. If BRD high-level gameplay is crap, then BRD is effectively crap. Mind you, I'm not happy about it one bit, but thems the breaks.

As far as what to main, you can join the poorly-lit side and play PLD. The job is still perfection given form.

What do you mean by Poorly-lit? Anyway yeah I kinda enjoy pld, pretty much all of the 52-60 skills are good and useful, its probally going to boil down to pld or summoner/sch. Most likely pld, since its almost 51 already. Get it to 60 so my other jobs get the exp bonus, then work on those as I do endgame junks.

When Bard do the same damage as tank - it's called crap dps no matter how you look at it.
And "support" are greatly overrated, in current content (Bismark&Ravanna) it's not needed. And if healers do just fine in ilvl170+, with gear progression the importance of ballad will continue to diminish.

As topic says, I am going to shelf my bard (its 53 almost 54) like many others till they fix them so they aren't such garbage compared to other dps as they are now. My choices are: 50 pld, 44 whm, 41 arc (going summoner but i'd gear scholar too) Or level my 25 ish ninja (cuz I hear they are awesome).

Depends on what you want from playstyle. All choices are not bad/underpowered, so choose what you like more.

Paladins aren't exactly the dark side. We leave that to our knight brethren that take the law into their own hands.

If you can prove the entire game community wrong, go for it! Because right now Bards do less damage than even a Paladin.
