DPS that know how to play and are well geared are a pain to keep hate off atm (on trash packs anyway bosses are no problem at all) to the point where I'm either using BB combo constantly or overpower depending on how fast they go all out. Maybe I should start marking again.

I've managed to rip hate a couple times from each tank job on bosses but they generally have a weaker weapon and only for a few seconds before reestablishing enmity on it. Usually happens around the Power Surged, Blood for Blooded, critical Jump. The opener is just really strong on melee DPS currently so tanks need to front load a lot of hate generation and it's generally fine. Aside from that I'll take trash off tanks if I use the full opener sometimes but that's generally my bad (I just pop Bloodbath and carry on killing it if it's not a dangerous mob)

Its because they don't watch the aggro table, its not there just for tanks. If people are way over geared they need to keep in mind that the tank may not be or atleast look at them to check their gear. Its like no one cares they just go full tilt and then yell at the tank for not holding aggro.

When I play my bard I wish I could shut aggro table off, so I don't feel so bad that I am almost always last in a 4 man. Out of sight out of mind :P. I know bard pretty well, been playing it for a while but there isin't much you can do when the dev of the game keeps shafting your class into oblivion. The fact bard and mch are being excluded from fights that have dps checks kinda shows there is a issue.

Here is a Pro tip for enmity. Stop wearing so much Fending garbage accessories. I never lose hate, and I tank everything in Sword Oath. One combo'd Halone HIT by itself in Shield Oath from my Paladin hits a mob for 12,000 Damage worth of Enmity. If you are in full fending, then you can cut that number by just over 7000, and that is the root of most enmity issues.

TLDR: Get rid of your excess HP, YOU DON'T NEED IT!

    This is very true indeed.

One thing I noticed a while back and it's getting even worse is that a tank gets commendations based on his max HP.
If my Max HP is very big, guaranteed 2 commendations on a light party. Even if I mess up.

If wearing STR accessories, meaning the run is going faster and i am in no risk of dying ever and if I don't mess up even once, you don't get any commendations 90% of the time. Cuz your Max HP was not big.

    DPS and healers pls explain.

I don't know how the paladin and warrior do atm but I am a level 60 dark knight I am i150 atm I played with a dragoon and some time a monk who is geared I180 I got to say if you lose your guard down you will lose Aggro for sure but even so the most simple unleash spam should be enough to hold off even a single target dpser no problem but you got to keep an eye on that fellow Aggro so far no problem for me

Using slaying right side Is not the solution. If it was really required that would prove that tank gear would BE broken.
Or it would just prove that some people needs help on enmity.
I run fending with pug and some slaying with team and never had an issue.

The only situation where you can be screwed Is like a noob mnk/drg with blm/smn combo with for instance the caster going full AE and the melee full single Target but in this situation it Is the melee ´s fault he should BE doing aoe like caster .

So far I have seen tanks having some problems with keeping hate at lvl 60...however, this is usually because A.) Dps at the very least already has their Law weapon (and by now usually a good bit of Law/60 Dungeon gear), and B.) Even if they have Law gear the tanks haven't gotten the Law weapon yet. Most of the tanks I've run with Pug wise have been PLDs, and about 25% of them are still using Relics at 60! I checked, it wasn't glamour. The ones with their Law weapon were the ones without any aggro issues.

Odds are, you're probably getting a healer fairly often that often freaks out over your HP bar fluctuating wildly due to your low HP count as a STR PLD and I've heard countless stories of healers coming out of dungeons complaining over tanks wearing slaying acc's instead of fending. While I DO agree with both you and Zdamned about wearing Str acc's for holding hate and getting through dungeons quicker (as I am also guilty of the same thing), it'd be completely foolish to think that some healers wouldn't complain about having to bust out more heals, CD's and just generally burn more MP to keep you from kicking the bucket. We're tanks...not DPS, and PLD's aren't exactly known for their huge HP bars.
