All those times I joked about the Allagans enslaving the Miqo'te of Meracydia were exactly that: jokes. The last thing I want to be true is for our part-Allagan Seeker friend to be descended from a Seeker male who pledged the servitude of his bloodline for all eternity to the princess as thanks for her releasing him from slavery. Seems as likely a scenario as any from what we know so far, though.

Sadly, after everything we've seen of the Allag, especially on Azys Lla, I think it's safe to say that if you weren't explicitly a hyur or elezen from the Great Continents, you were in extreme danger of "rough treatment" at best from the main body politic of Allagan society. I have several ideas of what must have happened to the Meracydian Miqo'te, and none of them are particularly happy scenarios.

And 5000 yeas later, one of their descendents entombs himself in the monument that powered the subjugation of his ancestors' homeland, in order to carry the Allagans' beautiful ideals into the future. I'm beginning to think all the Allagans' creations run off of pure irony.

Even if they turned to be slaves, they survived. At least from my point of view, our treatment was as bad as fro the dragons >_>. Probably just house servidute servants? who knows.
Also lets all remember that according to the miqote lore, the ancestors come from meracya during the Ice age or rather called the 5th umbral era.

To be honest, I don't really think Allag became as it is up until Xande resumed power. Azys Lla was put into the air just before the Empire fell. We know from the Crystal Tower quest chain that Xande went full psycho as soon as he was resurrected, and he got worse over time, to the point that members of the royal family were out to get him.

And Xande was resurrected why? You don't become a world-spanning empire on good intentions alone, and it was the fear of losing that that motivated them to resurrect Xande in the first place. And for all intents and purposes, it worked. There was always something fundamentally broken about the Allagan Empire; Xande was just honest about it.
