My main point was that the games were so similar to one another already that their was no logical reason to dismiss every *GOOD* idea that comes from XI fans promoting *CERTAIN* aspects of XI. FFXI was a VERY GOOD MMO, iMo, and the opinion of many others. We liked it VERY MUCH, and would like to see SE draw SOME ideas from it to help fix the current problems, such as imbalance w/ the Class System and such. We DO NOT want a REPLICA of XI's JOB SYSTEM. However, we would like to see something similar come into fruition. It makes much more sense to have DoW classes capitalize on DoW type abilities. So, whether it's a Job/SubJob System, a Class System w/ SOME restrictions like DoW can only draw from other DoW actions, or **something** makes no difference to me. XI's system was *TOO restrictive. XIV is *TOO versatile -making "balance," virtually, unattainable. NO, SE does NOT have to only draw from XI to fix this problem, but imo, it would be an EXCELLENT place to start, period. Nothing more, nothing less -not nms, not leveling, not exp loss, not waiting in Jueno or Aht Urghan for 3 days trying to get a party, not a Maat cameo lol, and none of the other crap ya'll think we all want back -just ASPECTS of the job system (like no weird DoW/DoM crossovers), and kill rate/ tp dmg. That's pretty much all I actually DID like about XI.
