Not to mention almost all of them have rules like "Random" or chaos, Or both Random and Chaos, or flat out double-roulette. Its frustrating to want to enjoy a round of Triple Triad only to have just about every new NPC be completely unfun, unbalanced, and unrewarding to play since beyond their crap rules, the drop rate on even 2 star cards was crap when I played the moogle :\
Also this. Midnight Dew is the one I hate the most atm. So frustrating and unfun, it makes me hate my favorite mini-game in FF history. Only XIV could find a way to ruin Triple Triad for me.
And before anyone asks rhetorically, Yes, I would actually enjoy TT way more if I could just use my rare cards and "Plow face" than feel like my card collection is worthless and my odds of winning are completely at the mercy of a RNG, we already have RNG card drop rates. Triple Triad is suppose to be a game of strategy, but there are some challenges that cheapen this. Chaos and Random go against the very idea of strategy. There is no strategy involved when winning is an impossibility due to Random and/or Chaos rules. The NPCs already have a decent AI (I know some of them can derp but some NPCs are very clever), so theres no need to screw us with these rules.
Can we please just remove both Random and Chaos from NPCs? Keep em under roulette and keep them under Player rules, but for the love of god stop giving NPCs, TIMED NPCs even, Random and Chaos, either or. Its not fun or creative.

If your having troubles with the NPCs Farm Ysayle, and Einsten first. I had a very high win rate on all the NPCs with a deck of Ysayle,Einsten,Warrior of Light,Urianger,Behemoth in that order. Keep them in that order because of like Marielle with the Order rule you can pretty much do Top Left,Bottom Left, Middle Right or Top Middle depending on her placements, and have a 90% win rate with the occasional draw
Only NPC that deck that I remember doesn't apply to is Idle Imperial because he always has Random instead of Roulette/Chaos

The guy (Midnight jew?) in idyllshire drops matoya card, I had to beat him quite a few times before it dropped
For a guy with the 90 card achievement reward card I want to know why this random using bastard only has like 7 total cards in his deck.
Because they were made that way? I never had any problem with them. Even when I get ~3-4 1 stars and a 3/4/5 Star usually at the very least it'll end up as a draw. The AI makes stupid moves alot of times that more then makes up for it.
I mean atleast it's better then it was originally I had more problems when TT first came out against NPCs like Landenel then I did against any of the new npcs
So far the hardest card of 3.0 has been Ravana and that's because how bad DF groups are in the fight.

Been the opposite for me so far. Did fantastic against the early NPCs, got pretty much all the original cards (Terra still eludes me, as does Cloud (gold packs sucking my mgp)) and Zidane (gold packs sucking my rng, too), but so far these new NPCs and the new cards are totally whipping my ass on drops and for some of them (Midnight Dew mostly) win ratio.Because they were made that way? I never had any problem with them. Even when I get ~3-4 1 stars and a 3/4/5 Star usually at the very least it'll end up as a draw.
