First dungeon of the expansion days after release?
I haven't seen any tanks pulling large groups yet, that tank was just a dummy and a jerk to top it off.
Not your fault.

You also haven't seen the rest of the thread where said tank posted a chatlog, proving that not only did the tank check gear and decide to do smaller pulls but the bard you are defending is toxic as all heck.
Some of us "filthy casuals" don't have the time to farm so we try to do the content and learn from our mistakes. Don't judge the gear, judge the player.Every encounter has some expected player gear/skill level for which it is tuned. If you are vastly below that, you are just asking for the group to carry you. That's rude. Some will let it slide, others will not.
In this particular case, it's the first dungeon after expansion. At end of previous expansion I had multiple alts in the avg i125+ range. And you have an i75 weapon? What, did you never run Syrcus Tower? Soldiery or Poetic tomestones? Not to mention the expansion vendor gear. So yeah, you definitely went in with VASTLY less than the expected gear level.
I read it, they spoke down to him and were condescending, they agreed to do smaller pulls yes but they came off as really obnoxious, if they gave me that crap and ganged up on me I would've said the same back or just left.
Are some of you people incapable of reading comprehension? I can't believe some people here are actually white knight-defending OP here.
I was also the healer, since you weren't able to read that.
Yeah, if everyone like that just left the dungeon instead of bitching, wasting time, being terrible/lazy, being rude and then LYING(on the forum), it'd save us all a LOT of trouble. Vote dismissal has a 4 hour cooldown, you know?

Too bad the bard was a massive wank and instead of accepting the fact he was in i100 gear in the expansion (and an i75 bow) he decided to get unjustifiably bitchy and rude. Pretty easy to judge this bard based on his disgusting behaviour in the screenshots my friend.
Did you read the part where Dave and I were perfectly justified in our response and the bard started swearing at us? I should have reported this tosser immediately.
Also, DAVE WAS OUR WHITE MAGE.
Big pulls or not, as the other dps in that group I'm not interested in helping some person who can't even manage to get some i115 vendor trash clear a dungeon, I've got better use of my time. People who don't put in any effort shouldn't deserve any effort back, stop spoonfeeding.
Weakness: highest-quality German white mage Highlander Assize My hands are full.
You can be a "casual". You can "have a real life". You can also still easily maintain acceptable equipment, especially with how HW quests hand you level-appropriate, high quality gear hand-over-fist (not to mention the vendors in each area that sell the NQ versions of the same equipment). There's no excuse to be sandbagging it in the hopes that someone else will put in extra effort to carry you.
It also reaches a point where player skill can't make up for the deficit in gear and the duty's difficulty. The OP, with his i75 weapon, was well beyond that point.
So it's elitist to expect someone to not use almost-2-year-old , horribly outdated equipment in current content?
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
Don't worry about it, you were clearly in the right. OP took offense almost right away at the mere suggestion that he should be equipped with stronger gear. You kicked him for his awful attitude, not his gear.
If I was in OP's position I would be quite frank and apologise for my gear, and try my best to do what I could. Or hell, I'd just make sure to have a better weapon equipped - I have a full time job but I still managed to get my relic in a couple days. Asking someone to put in a minimal level of effort is not being "elitist", it's just having basic standards and expectations.
