There are already some people with at least 2 classes at 60, by the time Alexander (even normal one) hits there will be plenty of them as I know quite some people who already middle way to their second 60 class.
Fun fact: One person being i179 does not mean the entire party is. You can't carry DPS on bismark-EX alone. Tanks can help make up for it (Especially Warriors right now. Dat Warrior) but honestly, this is one of the biggest issues most parties have when doing Bismark - the DPS check.
As for the topic at hand? I really hope they don't delay Alexander release. I think us raiders would -love- some more content to sink our teeth into. We already delayed content for the more casual crowd to be able to slowly progress and get there at a reasonable time, and I think two weeks was more than enough.
Them releasing Alexander doesn't affect your enjoyment of the early game. Take your time, keep leveling up. Keep in mind the first tier is all that's coming out, and it will be easily puggable. So no matter when you get there, you'll have an easy time with it. Don't feel forced to go faster than you need to.

Fun fact: The forerunners in my FC downed it in IL160 or less - some of their pieces are even those IL142/146 from The Vault/The Library lol. Probably it's just the level of skill difference.Fun fact: One person being i179 does not mean the entire party is. You can't carry DPS on bismark-EX alone. In any case, yes 2 weeks is enough. I've already have both BRD and MCH at 60 and geared, and there's till one week left. Probably can get a crafter job or two to 60 as well and meanwhile slack in the inn to watch those cut-scenes lol.
I'm pretty sure Alex Normal will be put on farm on the very first week as well, so that's more time to level other stuffs before Alex Savage hits.
Fun fact: That was with -all- of them being at the top of their game. Again, ONE PERSON can not push the DPS needed to clear a check. There are a TON of players right now that are STILL learning their roles. Don't compare the hardcore blitzers to those who are casually taking their time.
Seriously, your comparison is like saying that you should be ashamed if you have an i130 DRG in a T13 party pre-patch and not clearing just because everyone else was i123. @_@ Stop being rediculous.

"git gud or get rekt"
Seriously unless your party is full of DRK/AST/MCH then fine, new jobs. But if you are talking about a party with at least IL160 pieces from dungeons and a IL170 weapon on old jobs and still failed Bismarck then yes, the only remedy is to get better.

Just because YOU are i179, does not mean it's going to be a "Garunteed win on DPS." There are 3 other DPS and 2 tanks who contribute damage to the fight. If other people are lacking, that can cause you to be unable to clear.
The point we're both making is different. You want them to "Getgud", but it might just be that they haven't found others who are "Gud" yet. This is coming from an i180 Warrior who can literally out-DPS most other DPS in Ravana-EX... To me, it's easy. But I have partners BY MY SIDE who are good. I have people I can rely on.

The thing is, the Warrior will always put out more DPS then a Paladin. However, you should still be able to clear the DPS check with 2 Paladins in Shield Oath. Ofcourse it's possible to equip a strength build and go Sword Oath, but by doing so you will also increase the damage you take and add to the strain for healers to keep them alive. In order to get through the DPS checks, everyone has to be most out of their classes that's true. But, i don't think people should rely on a Paladin's dps to get through the DPS check. My "fear" would be that when parties are not getting through the DPS check, tanks will have to switch to Warrior just to get through. That would not be good for people running the duty through the DF (since it will be a likely scenario that will not be grouped with a warrior as tank).
Credit goes to Niqo'te for her fabulous art in the "Nique's happy fun time!"-thread and Nix/Capa for the Caitlyn drawing to the right. \(^_^ )/

Don't misudnerstand - I don't think that Tanks /should/ have to make up for weak DPS. I had that in a static and it -enraged- me.The thing is, the Warrior will always put out more DPS then a Paladin. But what I was pointing out to the person that was going back-and-forth with me was simply that the person who posted that they were i179... was only ONE person. A group working together can make up for the weakest factor, but a single GOOD player can't make up for an entire party being bad. Likewise, my WAR can match some DPS, but I'm not gonna be able to do it alone, no matter how much DPS I do.
I do agree with you... I hope people don't start spamming WAR's, or trying to make PLD/DRK's feel obsolete. Because that'll just get WAR's nerfed, and imo? We're in a good position right now as what we're meant to be - a heavy damage tank with good spikes of mitigation and a beefy HP pool for survivability.
Forgive me, but why did you quote me? I specifically stated in my post that I will never force someone to skip cutscenes in combat. And honestly, the 50-60 dungouns are easy enough that you don't need to read for them. All mechanics are implied, except maybe one or two outliers. But none of them that I've seen are really whipeable.
Regardless, I don't disagree. you should NEVER be forced to skip cutscenes. As for reading up on story dungouns... people aren't going to be que'ing those unless they're fishing for first timers atm, or they are helping their friend. I think most people are going in with a pretty open mind. But the two dungouns that come after? Feel free to read on them if you want. The two Extremes/The raids when they come out? It is more polite to read for the fights in those scenarios.

Well, kinda made my day that! xD... But, indeed as some others have pointed out, your ilevel is nothing if the party su***.
I'm kind of glad I'm now in a static, we cleared Bismark so easily.. And Ravana also after just two days trying. Hive weapons are cool and I hope will be of utility for alexander.
PS: Nice job with the token system in the primals! I love it!
OLD signature is OLD... Meh, too nostalgic to change anyways.
