Hoping when it comes back tonight it will be rank 10 and we can see if that gives us another airship.
Edit: Reddit says 10 does not bring another airship.

Yeah, mine is rank 10 also and still no stuff to allow more shipsI suspect we have to build a stronger airship...heh, and perhaps even mix/match proper parts...welp, this gunna be fun! Haha.
I'm not sure it is worth it to skip tiers, enterprise-type parts require rank 15, which is a long way to go on bronco parts. Unless it is cost prohibitive for your company, it really makes sense to upgrade at least a couple parts before then to improve range or other stats.
It doesn't appear that HQ materials increases the quality of the airship construction. I know this is counterintuitive, but we gathered quite a few data points and there was not a better chance of quality increase from HQ mats. Others have corroborated this. So HQ mats do not give you a better chance of needing less materials in following phases. All they do is give you better EXP.

We started a bit later because I told the FC to level crafts first LOL. But were up to rank 6 with no options for a second airship. We are finishing our last invincible part now.
Yeah, we finished our last Invincible piece a couple of days ago, still nothing about a second airship.
We probably have to get up to either rank 15 or 20.

Just a heads up, you won't be skipping tiers anyways because the required airship level for the parts are 10 levels apart: 1 5 15 25 35 45
Assuming 45 is the max rank we won't be seeing Tatanora class airships for at least 4 weeks probably.

while the presentation, at the E3, the rank of the airship yoshida did show us was 50.

I don't believe HQ has an effect either (see my 1st post), I was saying that's the only argument & the most relevant argument that could be made for HQing. It doesn't mean it's correct.I'm not sure it is worth it to skip tiers, enterprise-type parts require rank 15, which is a long way to go on bronco parts. Unless it is cost prohibitive for your company, it really makes sense to upgrade at least a couple parts before then to improve range or other stats.

Hence why I said "regardless of stance" and "potentially".
There's no point arguing in circles over it because some people will HQ regardless of all the datapoints. Face south and craft.
Tier skipping is possible, that's all I was saying. I don't know if it's worth it either down the line. The XP gained isn't tied to items gained. The last 2 days we've gotten rank C on items, but 100% xp procs, which has us almost to rank13 now on Bronco parts. But still not enough Balsa scrap to make tier3 prototype, as it only proc'd once.
I don't expect you'll be able to pump out prototypes/components/sets at every tier reliably, given the mats required & the rng in acquiring them. XP gain for us has vastly outpaced the prototype materials required. At the minimum we saw 0.6-0.7 lvls/venture, at the maximum, 2.8.
So, in the next 2 days we'll be in range of skipping to Enterprise, but potentially unable to due to lack of Balsa - and even then, not fully able to craft it since we only have ~1/2 the Red Moko Grass required.
Because of that I think it's also a fair argument that Invincible isn't necessarily worth skipping because Bamboo Weave & Vivianite are so common.
But down the road?
If the XP continues to vastly outpace the materials gained, I don't think it's so unlikely that ppl'll be (eg) rank 25 and just getting enough mats to fully flesh out Enterprise T3.

I'm not sure if it was a coincidence or not, but as soon as we upgraded 2 parts of our airship to Invincible, we could dispatch it to the 3 locations we had unlocked at that point with the increased flight distance that came from invincible parts.
And by doing that, it opened up a 4th location, which is rank 7. Our airship was already rank 10 by then.
(Weird thing, voyage log said it found Sea of Clouds Area 5, but when dispatching airship it says Area 4)

Probably coincidence? We unlocked Sector 4 before we were rank7 and it was greyed out.
