Still at certain points it looks like they are aware of fray maybe he can make himself appear when he wants? Since I did notice that at some points that npcs addressed you at times, I dunno. >_<

From what I got, the only times he was ever addressed clearly was at 30 quest (He was confirmed dead there and we were seen talking to his corpse.) and 50 quest, the 50 quest people saw him as your shadow, while we were hallucinating and seeing our shadow as Fray. (I still think the npc next to us didn't even flinch when his corpse fell, and only looked shocked when our shadow drew his weapon.)

Every other time seemed like we were the ones talking under the shadow's influence when he was because they were looking at us and addressing us whenever he spoke, they never addressed him. (We cussed out the merchant, and the guard pretty much said "you have every right to be angry" right after Fray ran away. The guard never said "He" he said "You")

Ah good point, missed that, I do have to say your shadow was making a good point and honestly the shadow represents us players a little bit when a lot of the times its the npc's fault that something happens and we have to clean up the mess and lets not forget that they are ungrateful at times. After ul'dah *shakes fists at the crystal braves and politics* my character does not "really" care about eorzea after the level 50 quest as my character told sid he now only fights for his friends after all he has been through as a dark knight.

On my end Allein has gotten a little more sadistic since her exposure to Esteem.

Her desire for Ilberd's head exceeds Raubahn, and she didn't give a certain member of the heaven's ward a merciful death either. Beyond those she's close to, she's pretty much closed her heart.

The quest journal entries for the lvl35 to lvl50 DRK quests look quite unique as well, comparing them with other quest journal entries. Give the stuff a read when you guys are bored in Ishgard some time.

They sure put a lot of attention into the whole questline!

Isembard definitely turns and addresses Fray during one of the conversations in the level 40 quest. And after conferring with some FC mates, something interesting came up of note in the journal entries: Fray's gender in them depends on your own.

Indeed at the end of the whole DRK saga my character no longer really cares for eorzea as a whole he will fight for those he is close to its just that luckily his friends care a lot more about eorzea than him. Now for my character just follows the mantra of Sid's master "Defend the meek and punish the wicked" don't care too much for people's problems like losing their stuff because of stupidity *looks at the limsa merchant and guards who don't want to do their jobs* etc now I am helping those people as a means to get stronger.

Oh and the sheer fury I had when a certain someone died my character wanted their heads overall I felt my DRK class change fit the story.

I chose "my friend" and he said "and so you shall" or something to that effect.

I was wondering what he would say if the other two are picked...if its not the same.

Picking "myself" seemed a little...odd given everything that happened there.

hmm, maybe fray's voice in the quests isn't his actual voice, rather it's your darkside using his mouth to create a 'distorted' version of your own voice.
