    Remove the rng from machinist!

    I loved bard so much in the main game and was so excited when machinist was announced but this class just doesn't compare to other dps classes.

    I regularly find myself out aggroed by every other dps, even when the rng goes right. And use of reload and speed reload are so few that a notable amount of times I find myself with both on cooldown just firing off split shoots 4-5-6 times in a row.

    I get games like this have rng factors, like firestorm buff abd bloodletter coming off cooldown but your main damage dealing combo shouldn't be dependant on the flip of a coin!

    its a roughly 20-40 dps give or take its not a lot because the dmg from mch overall isn't great. the class needs a buff across the board almost. Give it auto attack and no cast time in gauss and go from there

    I dont mind RNG, but its a bit too much imo.

    It sounded originally like ammo was going to be a big thing with machinist, however as it turned out its a 60 second cooldown, just like other cooldowns but weaker. I was expecting "reload" to be an on the global ability you could do while moving, no cooldown. quick reload to be an oh crap to make ends meet. you'd have the RNG but you'd have a way around it.

    other tweaks would still need to be made, as even if you had 0 RNG with combo procs, a machinist would still be pretty weak on the DPS.

    We need buffing but the RNG shouldn't be removed entirely.

    That would destroy the spirit of the Job & what differentiates it (just like WM did for BRD's...).

    The RNG is what makes the Job dynamic & exciting, it's fun in general--but not in the amount of excess its utilized. Having dry-spells where you aren't proccing 7+ Split Shots is just boring/unfun/bad design.

    So keep the RNG but it needs reducing.

    Changes:

    Quick Reload cool down down to 15s.

    Reload cool down down to 45s.

    Gauss Barrel casting time down to 1.5s (or instant).

    Gauss Barrel damage increase to 25-30%.

    Job is saved.

    Agree with Chibilidawg.

    The problem isn't that RNG exists, it's that it's a bit too heavy-handed to be enjoyable/ed.

    More frequent Ammo would impeccably fix the Job.

    Lining up every other Reload with a Wildfire cast is immensely important too.

    Reload as a regular skill on the global cooldown would be great, I wouldn't even mind if it took a few seconds to "cast".

    I find the RNG just fine, please don't remove it.
    Like others said, probably more focus on teweaking Reload than getting rid of RNG completely.
