I thought there was a small completion bonus. I could be wrong though. This may change eventually, it was implemented to prevent people from leveling too fast, but once the initial flood finishes I wouldn't be surprised to see this going away.

Make sure you have your heavensward product key entered too, not having it in will prevent you from getting any xp.
