A serious discussion about abridging the story quest 1-50 (discouraging new players)

So if you decide to watch the 1st season of a tv series when the series is on 2 or 3 to get caught up you are going to watch every single commercial in every episode in season 1. Why would you skip it? wouldn't it have been released they way they intended? and wouldn't skipping those then in turn ruin the integrity of the 1st season?

and again u missing the point from what ive seen ppl are ok with trimming the main story down, what "we" are not ok with is making it completly optional which is what this thread has turn into to

The only reason it has morphed into making it optional is because the people who are against have no real valid argument against and turn it into it.

i dont find "i dont like story and find it boring" a valid argument in making story optional is a good reason either

if they dislike the story this mmo is not for them.even every single raidboss we do is tied into the story. so no they should go back to wow or swtor or whatever they played before.

People aren't saying they dislike the story people are saying they don't like the filler quests that distract from the main story. A concept a lot of people seem to have a hard time grasping.
I personally love the story and would do it if it was made optional or not but what I don't love is having to do a lot of non story related stuff just to move the main story ahead.

xept a lot of the ppl defending story, including myself have said that trimming it down is fine but apparently the OP, and the thread itself after a point, went from "trim it down" to "make it completely optional" cuse some ppl dont like the story and find it boring period and thats what ppl defending the story have been commenting on, and honestly i dont rly expect em to go back to read OP when the OP has chance the thread discussion on his own


ps: u seem to cling on what the OP wrote on the first post and competently ignore the fact that the post is no longer rellevant
