    Some month ago, people were sure that dropping tank stance even for a small time was unbearably bad. As skilled players rise, things will change.
    For me, I think that DRK should have skills from Lancer and not Maraudeur, to replenish some TP, improve their parrying rate even more, and could use Blood For Blood when a window pops where they won't take a lot of damage.

    Then change Dark Arts to be some sort of damage cooldown. Or almost anything else. Either way, the implementation and redundancies of Dark Arts and Darkside are probably the worst of any skills in the game as they are now.

    Darkside and dark arts is perfect as is. All the lolDRK need to go back to being dps. Class is more than a spam aggro pop def cool down tank. You need to actually work at it which makes it fun. I'm 57 and having a blast, no aggro issue, no survival issue, no mana issue. Spamming DA is not how you play the class. He'll even

    Hell even * Fray tells you not to over use darkness for power. The first quest you get. 3 dark clouds nearly kill you, but two is the sweet spot every 30s. Basically he's saying L2P lol.

    For me, the problem with Darkside and Dark Arts is that they overlap themselves.
    When I started DRK, I supposed Darkside to be a huge drain on your MP pool, and that you had to find the sweep spot to maintain it as long as you can.

    In fact Darkside is frequently not something you have to care of, excpet when you use Dark Arts a lot.

    no issue with darkside/dark arts at all for me. lowering DA's MP cost would make it almost spammable.

    i still wish SE would heal for a bit more (like 1.5x damage) but i got used to it.

    just a few minor changes so skills have a better synergy and a boost to delirium and IMO drk is fine.

    Darkside is basically like Maim. Damage you get for free as long as you don't let it drop. It has the added benefit of enabling the use of Dark Arts and I basically like the way the mechanic works. So you manage MP under a constraint: you want to use as much mana as possible because its a bunch of damage or mitigation benefit but letting it fall all the way means losing a powerful 15% base damage benefit.
    They are clearly not redundant. Darkside give you a blanket benefit and Dark Arts allows selective and situational large MP usage.
    Perhaps there's an argument that you shouldn't need Darkside up to use Dark Arts? But 15% damage is something you always want anyway.

    If you actually read my suggestion, you'd know that what I was intending was actually adding complexity to the class, and encouraging more dynamic managing of skills and MP. The problems surrounding Darkside and Dark Arts has nothing to do with how easy they are to use (they're too easy, Darkside can simply be left on forever, there's no actual management of the skill), but with how poorly they're implemented and reflect poor design decisions.

    Of course, if you're going to make jokes about someone being a lolDPS, you might want to consider having more of a background in tanking than just picking DRK up yourself.

    Who are you and why are you responding to me as if I was speaking with you? I just read your post. My response was based off the common general compliment I see on every page. The class is fine. Maybe tweak minor things here and there but the general concept of the class works. And you don\\\\'t know if I have a background in tanking or not to make a personal statement like that against me. Obviously some how my post offended you in some way,which I think is hilarious because I wasn\\\\'t even referring to you at all lol. I had no idea about you and your past till you responded lol. Anyway you have your opinion on the class I have mine, no issue there.
