Fenral's right about the English translation. Ravana and Bismark are summoned again, but we know Thordan weakened the seal on those three. Urianger asks us to handle the new extreme mode primals while he and the other person look for a way to reseal the Warring Triad.
The quest descriptions for Bismarck Ex and Ravana Ex state that "Bismarck's reappearance threatens to hasten the awakening of the Warring Triad─three eikons sealed within the Aetherochemical Research Facility on Azys Lla" and "Left unchecked, the Wrath of the Colony will surely seek out the Warring Triad on Azys Lla to feed upon the sleeping eikons' strength."
That seems pretty definitive that they're still sealed at the end of the main story.
Now someone tell me again the difference betwen eikons and primals? I know the guy says garleans use the terms inerchangably but they actually arent correct?
I'm pretty sure eikons and primals are the same thing.
From what I read in the quest, Eikons are godlike beings, dark divinity Odin for example, and primals are the monsters we have been dealing with. I think we'll be seeing more of the FF6 esper origins ^.^

Eikon is just what Garleans call primals, isn't it?
Eikon means false god for the garleans, while Primal design the beast tribes gods ( it's litterally barbarian god in japanese ).

It seems like Eikon may be a term for Elder Primal at this point. All of the examples of Eikons given also qualify or have been named as Elder Primals (Bahamut and Odin so far). I do wonder if there isn't a different form of summoning they went through that shows a more clear distinction, but so far that seems like what Eikons are: Elder Primals.

The Warring Triad were godlike beings that weren't summoned, they just existed. So I don't think Eikon means elder primal, but we don't have enough information yet to connect everything anyways.
